the move to multi-site
vision
For King’s to be a multi-cultural church, with multiple meetings across multiple sites, that serves the communities of South-east London.
what is multi-site?
A church with multiple sites is one church, with one vision, one leadership, one budget and one legal identity. It isn’t separate congregations or churches. It is about being a community together that happens to meet at different times or locations on a Sunday. Wherever you choose to attend you will experience a friendly and diverse group of people, dynamic worship, high quality teaching and a challenge to take the next step in your journey of faith.
new building
The last 10 years have been quite a journey for us. We have seen the church grow from 200 to 1,000 people, undertaken and paid for a £2 million renovation of our existing building, gone from 1 to 3 Sunday meetings and in the midst of that had the joy of growing into an increasingly diverse community.
Now we believe that God is opening up for us another exciting step in this journey with the opportunity to open a new meeting on another site by purchasing a building at Lee Green.
The new building is 3.5 times the size of our current building at Catford Hill, and will provide us with amazing capacity for growth and ministry reach over the next 10 years. The new building at Lee will release more capacity at the Catford Hill site particularly in the morning meetings. This will allow us to reach more people through our Catford site as well as reaching into the Lee area. Moving the church offices and many of the staff to the Lee building, at some point, will also release more rooms at the Catford Hill site for children and youth on Sundays and general use through-out the week.
